Visiting the Doctor!

I went to see Dr. Howell today!  I got weighed and measured.  I was 21 1/2 inches and 10 lbs 10 oz.  I am a big growing boy.  Dr. Howell said I looked really good and that I am healthy. I got a shot today.  I really didn't like it.  Mommy says that I will get a lot more of those and that I will continue to hate it!  We will see how much I grow over the next month.

One Month

Well my first month went pretty well.  I have a great family full of people that really love me.  Everyone is always giving me kisses and squeezing me.  A lot of people have come to visit me.  Mommy's friends got together and threw me a shower to give me clothes and other boy things I needed.  I get held a lot and get my diaper changed and fed on a pretty regular basis.





Mommy always tells people what a good boy I am and how I am so easy going.  I like to sit in my swing and I am starting to discover the friends I have hanging above me, but I am not paying too much attention to them.  I have given Mommy and Daddy some smiles but just wait until they see the smiles I have in store for them.  Life is good at the Yanez house.  I can't wait to see what the next month brings!

Daddy Went Back to Work

My Daddy got to stay home with me for 4 weeks!  But he had to go back to work today.  I am going to miss him all day.  Riley told me that he will still be home every night.  I think Mommy is going to miss him more than me because she said he did a lot for us while he was home.  He is probably going to have to come home and cuddle me for while when he gets home because he will miss me so much.  I wonder what he does  while he is away?  What is work anyway?

My Big Sister Riley

My Big Sister Riley loves me so much.  She always wants to hold me!  She is always coming up to me and talking to me and making faces at me.  She puts my paci back in whenever I spit it out and start crying.  She is good to me because she will get me blankets and burp clothes.  Riley also likes to supervise some of my diaper changes and baths.  She doesn't really like to listen to Mommy and Daddy, but when they ask her to do something for me she will do it without throwing a fit.  When Riley gets home from school the first thing she wants to do is sit down on the couch and hold me.  She tells Mommy that she wants to hold me and have me sitting up.  I like it that way because I can look around, it really makes Daddy nervous.  Whenever someone comes over and is holding me she gets really jealous because she wants to be the one to hold me all the time.  I am sure I am going to have that girl wrapped around my finger.

My Umbilical Cord

Well I lost my umbilical cord today.  We were not sure when it was going to fall off.  It really looked like it was going to hang on there for a while. My big sisters were really wanting it to fall off so that I can take a real bath.  Mommy gave them some bad news though because it may be off but my belly button is still bleeding and I need to wait a little bit longer to have a bath.  Mommy really likes to give me sponge baths and put lotion on me.  Luciana really likes my lotion too.  She helps Mommy put lotion on me.  She puts the lotion on  her own hands too.  I think she really likes to smell like a baby too.  I am not really sure how I feel about the lotion, but Mommy keeps putting it on me so I guess I have to live with it.

One Week!

Well I made it one week!  I can't tell you how many different people have held me and given me kisses.  I guess I just have a lot of people that love me.  Mommy says that I am a really good baby.  She says that I know I am a third baby because I let her sleep at night.  I am already sleeping at night between feedings and I am going 4 to 4 1/2 hours between feedings at night.

Riley goes back to school tomorrow.  It will be sad not to have her around all the time.  Daddy is going to take her school and he said that she will be gone for a little bit, but then she will be home to play with me the rest of the day.

Visiting the Easter Bunny

I went with my sisters today to visit the Easter Bunny.  I know you can barly see me in the picture because I am wearing a white furry outfit too.  It was cold outside and Mommy put me in this because she knew we would be watching Riley and Luci hunt for Easter eggs.  I just had to sit there and watch as they did stuff, but at least I got to get a picture with the Easter Bunny.  I am the one wearing the baby hat.  Don't we all look so cute!
