Merry Christmas

Today is my first Christmas and I think it was a pretty good Christmas.  I got to open presents this morning with my sisters.  I really wasn't too interested in the opening of the presents, but I did like what was inside.  I got this really cool car that drives itself and has a little driver that when I shake it the car will come to me.  I also got a race car with a driver named Riley and a van.  Those cars talk to me too.  I like to push the little cars around while I crawl around the house.

We also went over to Gram's House to visit with everyone and to open more presents.  I got some new clothes and some more toys.  The best part was playing with my sisters and my cousin Landon.  Tyler was also there.  We ate brunch and then hung out there all day.  Everyone still likes to hold me and to take pictures of me.  Mommy says that Christmas is all about being with family and spending time together and that presents are just a bonus.  I think that the girls really like the presents part the best and one day I think I will too.  I mean don't get me wrong I love my family, but toys are so much fun.

Sign Language

I have started to watch some really great videos and they are just for me, but it seems that the girls really like to watch them too.  They are called Baby Einsteins.  They show me all kinds of animals, and puppets and they play all kinds of songs.  They really hold my attention.  One of the videos shows me all about animals.  It has all kinds of animal: farm animals, jungle animals, animals at my house, and even more.  One of the videos is teaching me sign language so that I can talk to everyone without even having to say a word.  I like to have my voice heard though so I still use it a lot.  The sign that I use now is “more”.  I like it because it is so much like clapping.  In fact Daddy says that I look like I am clapping, but I can see a real difference between my clapping and me trying to tell them I want more puffs.   

9 Months

I am nine months today.  I am still getting around everywhere, but no walking yet.  I love eating!  It is probably my favorite time of the day.  Mommy thinks that I am pretty clean eater.  She says she doesn't have to clean me up very much, but she still annoys me by wiping my face off.  I hate when she and Daddy do that.

I still really like watching my Baby Einstein videos.  I like the puppets.  Riley really liked watching the puppets when she was little like me too.  Mommy thinks that I am starting to look a lot like Riley.  At first she said that I looked a lot like Luci, but now she thinks I a moving towards looking like Riley.  Either way I don't think that it is nice to compare me to a girl.  I am a boy and I look like a boy.

I love crawling over to the play kitchen and getting in all that food.  The girls really have to be careful and keep all their small toys picked up because I put anything and everything in my mouth.  They are usually pretty good about it.  My favorite kitchen toy is the Melissa & Doug pizza.  I love to play with all of the toppings.

I am looking forward to Christmas and ripping open some presents.  I wonder what Santa will bring me.

Clap Clap Clap!

I started clapping today.  Everyone was so excited.  They love that I can put my two hands together and make some noise.  I have to admit I love it too!  That is why I love to do it all the time. It all started when I went to see the girls in The Nutcracker.  They did such a good job that I had to put my hands together like everyone else for them.  Now the girls want me to do it all the time.  I think that it is fun to see everyone's reaction to me.  Clapping it is just something I do now.

8 Months

Can you believe that I am eight months old today.  I am getting so big, at least that is what everyone says.  I have two teeth.  I can pull up.  I can crawl.  I roll all over the place.  I am getting into everything, especially all the stuff Mommy and Daddy want me to stay out of.  I really like playing in my exersaucer and my jump-a -roo. 

I am eating all kinds of fruits and vegetables.  I enjoy puffs too.  Riley and Luci like to give me my puffs.  Right now more of them end up in my chair and on the floor than in my mouth, but that is okay I am still learning.  The girls always try to put them in my mouth, but Mommy tells them to stop because I need to learn how to do it myself. 

I am in 9 months clothes.  Landon gave me a bunch of clothes to borrow.  Mommy and Daddy really appreciate him doing that because it saves them a lot of money. 

Well life is pretty good right now.  I will probably work on doing that walking stuff that Mommy keeps talking about.  She seems to think that I will be doing it soon.  We will see if I am doing that before my 9 month blog.  That will be here before you know it.  

Manly Things

Daddy and I like to watch football together.  It doesn't matter if it is on the couch upstairs or downstairs or if we are actually in the stadium.  We think that it is a lot of fun.  We just like being guys and spending time together, because that is what guys do together.  Sometimes Mommy watches with us and the girls too.  Football is just something that Daddy and I can do and we can be men.  

I'm on the Move

Look out world I am on the move.  I started crawling.  I showed Daddy my new moves first.  He was so excited.  He ran me upstairs and woke Mommy up to show her what I can do now.  Again Mommy was sad because it means I am getting big.  I just seem to always make her sad with all the cool new things I am doing.  She says she has a hard time with it because I am her last baby.  Mom you can't hold me back forever!  The girls need to look out now that I am mobile because it means I can get into all their stuff.  Daddy said all the little stuff needs to be put away and they need to get their stuff off the bottom of the coffee table.  I just amaze myself with all the new stuff I am able to do all the time.  I mean what can be next!

I'm Woody the Cowboy

I had my first Halloween.  I dressed up as Woody from Toy Story.  I did not get to get any candy because I could not say Trick or Treat.  Mommy said that it was silly to take a baby up to a house to get candy because I can’t eat it.  I wonder if they if they will let me go up to the house and get candy next year!  Daddy wanted me to go up the houses to get candy.  I think he thought that I would share it with him.  Riley dressed up as Merida from Brave.  She looked really pretty even if she would not wear the wig.  Luci dressed up as Sofia the First.  She did not need a wig to look like Sofia.  It was a fun first Halloween because everyone came over to see us.  Landon came over to trick or treat with us too.  He dressed up as Jack Frost.  He looked really cool.  I hope that I am as cool as Landon one day.  

Take a Bite Out of Anything

I have a tooth popping through.  It is crazy.  It didn't really hurt.  Daddy saw it and showed Mommy.  Mommy got really sad because she said it is just a first step in me becoming a big boy.  Riley and Luci both got their first tooth at 9 months and I got mine at 7.  I guess I may be more advanced than them.  We will see if I walk before them.  I think that will be a big thing.  I wonder what I can do with this tooth in my mouth.  I bet there will be more because Daddy has a bunch in his mouth  and I am going to be just like him.  I will let you know how this teething thing goes.  

7 Months Old

I am seven months old.  A lot of changes have been coming my way.  I am rocking and rolling. I like to roll all over the place and I am getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth.  Pretty soon I am going to be crawling, or at least Daddy thinks so.  I am eating all kinds of vegetables and a lot of different kinds of fruits.  Alice likes to give me puffs, but Mommy and Daddy have not done that yet.  Riley and Luci would like to feed me but Mommy and Daddy said that I am not good enough at it yet for them to do more than a couple of bites.  Mommy thinks I am the cleanest eater out of all the kids except for when I don't like something because then I spit it back out at her, but other than that once it is in it is gone.

I like to play with my sisters.  They can drive me crazy but they are good big sisters and they do look out for me.  I wonder if they will still like me when I start getting into their stuff?

Chicago

We all took a big trip to Chicago.  Mommy and Riley are on fall break for two weeks and we are taking the time to go to Chicago as a family.  We went to a cool restaurant called The Rainforest Cafe. It was really cool because it had all kinds of animals in it.  The gorillas, elephants, alligators, and fish looked real.  The fish were really real.  Then we went shopping at the Disney store and we all got pajamas and our Halloween costumes.  I got to ride around in the stroller a lot and in the baby Bjorn.  While we were up there Mommy and Daddy couldn't mix my cereal with milk and I didn't like it.  I would not eat it at all.  It was disgusting!

Grandma and Grandpa came up and met us on the second day.  We all went to the Museum of Natural History.  It was really big.  It had a lot of big things in it, like Sue the dinosaur.  I really liked the dinosaurs.  We watched a movie that had big furry elephants in it.  It seemed like a place with a lot to learn.  Riley and Luci really enjoyed it.  I think that I will like it more when I am older and we can go back.  There really wasn't a lot for me to do except look at stuff and wonder what the heck it was.  It was nice to spend time together as a family.

Rolling Over

I starting rolling over from my back to my stomach!  Riley and Luciana are so excited because they think this is a cool trick I can do.  Mommy and Daddy think that this means they have to watch me more and be more careful about where they put me.  I think that it is pretty cool to be able to get around and to get to my toys easier.

I also do this thing where I push up on my hands and look all around.  The girls like to get in my face and say hi to me when I do this.  I don't really like them too close, but they are funny!  They always talk to me in these weird voices.  I know they can be a little crazy, but I really do like having them around.

Ma ma

 Mommy is so excited because I said Ma Ma this weekend.  I was playing in my exersaucer and she was talking to me and then she started to walk away and I called out to her "Ma Ma".  She was so excited when I called out to her.  I wanted her to pick me up.

I said "Ma Ma" a few more times this weekend, so Mommy thinks that this means "Ma Ma" are my legitimate first words.  Who knows what words will come next maybe "Da Da"?  

First Time Eating Cereal

I ate cereal for the first time today.  I was so excited to be sitting at the table and finally see a spoon coming towards my mouth.  I have been sitting watching everyone around me putting food in their mouths during breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the table.  They never had anything for me until today.  It was a big event too. They took a video and pictures of me.  Riley and Luci were standing around me.  They held my hands down for Mommy to put the spoon in my mouth because I kept trying to grab it.  I really loved my cereal.


 It was so good and I could not get enough of it.  Mommy said that I can have more tonight and from now on will be having some twice a day.  I think that that sounds good.  No not good GREAT!

Six Months Old

I am six months old now.  1/2 of a year gone.  I have gotten so big.  I am still a happy go lucky baby boy.  I like to play with my toys so much.   Mommy says that I play with toys more than Riley and Luciana ever did. I love to sit in my exersaucer.  There is so much to sit and play with.  Daddy can't believe that I am already half way to 1 year old.  I am still very attached to my pacifier.  It is always there for me to comfort me when I need it.

Every morning Mommy wakes me up and then feeds me.  After I eat she puts me on her and daddy's bed to play while she finishes getting ready.  Daddy will come say hi to me and Luciana will come to talk to me.  She really loves to play with me.  Riley always come to say hi and bye to me.  It has to be that quick because she has to get to school.

I can almost sit up.  I am getting really good at it, but if I lean too far back then I just fall right over.  I like to lean over and grab my toes.  My toes are so much fun to play with.  When I lay on my back I like to grab my feet and put them in my mouth.

 I have changed and grown so much in the past six months, it is going to be amazing to see what changes come in the next six months.

IU

Daddy and Mommy took me to my first IU football game today.  It was a lot of fun to watch football live.  I like watching sports on TV but this was totally different.  The P.A. guy was really loud though.  He hurt my ears.  He made me cry several times, not even the fireworks made me cry.  It was a good game and IU won. 

High Chair Time

Mommy and Daddy took me and my sisters to El Nopal on Friday night.  They decided to let me try sitting in a high chair.  I can’t sit up on my own yet but they put me in a padded highchair.  I really liked being up with everyone.  I sat in the highchair the whole time.  I sit in one at home all the time, but this was the first time at a restaurant.    The girls thought it was really cool that I was sitting in the high chair.  Mommy thinks I am getting so big, and there are going to be a lot of changes coming.

Five Months

I am five months old now.  I have done so much in my first five months of life.   I like talking to everyone and enjoy handing out laughs.  Everybody loves me because I am such a good baby and so much fun to be around or at least that is what my Mommy says.

Meeting Alice

I met my baby sitter Alice today.  She is going to keep me while Mommy and Daddy are at work.  I miss my Mommy and Riley, but Luciana is still with me.  She comes up from the basement and checks on me.  Alice is pretty nice.  She gives me bottles and I like that.  I hope I can get her to hold me more.

Four Month Check Up

I went to the doctor today.  I grew a lot.  Today I weighed 14 lbs 14 oz and was 25 1/2 inches long.  That is a lot more than at my two month check up.  We got to see Dr. Howell again today.  She is so nice to me.  She sits and talks to Mommy all about me and what I am doing.  I always have lots of smiles for her, but I don't have them for the other lady that comes in because she always gives me shots.  Today she gave me two more shots.  I cried because they hurt.  Mommy picked me up and cuddled me and made it all better.  Luci and Riley told me that I would be okay too.  That lady put two circus band-aids on my shots so I guess that was pretty cool.  Dr. Howell says that I don't have to come back until I am six months old.  That is good because that means I don't have to get any shots next month!

Four Months

I got to spend my four month birthday on the beach.  I am one lucky guy!  It was my family vacation at St. Petersburg, Florida.

I did a really good job on the ride down to Florida.  Daddy drove the van and Mommy rode in the front seat.  Riley, Luci, and I rode in the back seat.  They got to watch movies all the way down and I watched another little baby.  He cried every time I cried and laughed every time I laughed.  He really liked to talk to me.  I wish that I knew his name.






I went swimming in the pool for the first time.  At first I did not like the water, it was a little cold.  Mommy held me and that made it better.    I got to the beach for the first time.  I took a few naps on the beach.  The sun made me nice and warm, but there was a good breeze.  The girls loved to go to the beach and the pool. We all sat down in the ocean to get pictures.  That was okay, I sat on Mommy's lap.

My cousin Landon came on vacation with us too.  He really liked playing with Luciana and Riley.  He would come up and play with me too.  I think he really like playing with my monkey  from my jungle gym.

I had a really good first vacation.  I can't wait until next year when I get to swim in the pool more and dig in the sand with my sisters.

I Am a Child of God

I was baptized today.  I did a really good job.  I didn't even cry.  Aunt Kristie is my Godmother and Tio Brian is my Godfather.  We all went to church for my special day.  Father Eric (the second one, but the first one I met) baptized me.  He put oils on my head, poured water on my head, gave me a white gown, and gave me a lit candle.  I don't think Tio Brian liked that so he took the candle for me.  I don't think you are supposed to give babies candles anyway.






















After the baptism people came back to my house to eat and to give me presents.  I slept most of the time.  My Mommy had to open my presents for me.  I think she likes doing that stuff.  She says that Riley likes doing it more and that she used to be a professional present opener.  Landon gave me my favorite present.  See this cool football, it belongs in my mouth.  It is so easy for me to play with.  Isn't Landon the coolest cousin!

I am now a child of God.  These people better start taking me to church more.

Surrounded

This is the kind of stuff you have to put up with you have two sisters.  They think I am just a bigger baby doll that moves.  Just wait.  Some day I will destroy these dolls with my dinosaurs and trucks.

Three Months

I am three months old now and there is so much I can do.  I can hold my head up by myself.  I love to play with my toys and put them in my mouth.  I really love to put almost anything in my mouth.  Sometimes I can even get my paci back in my mouth by myself.  I will talk to anyone who talks to me.

I am still sleeping through the night and I have been doing that for a while.  I think that Mommy really loves that I do that.  It gives her a chance to get some rest after trying to keep up with Riley and Luci all day long.

I don't have to go to the doctor this month so that means no shots.  I am pretty happy about that.  The bouncer is still one of my favorite places to be, but I really enjoy my jungle gym too.  The swing is okay in the mornings, but later in the afternoon I don't really like it.

The girls are still all over me and won't stay out of my face.  They like to hug and kiss on me all the time.  Mommy depends on them to entertain me a lot.  She lets them hold me and put my paci in, but I don't think she wants them in my face.  Luci has started pinching my cheeks and pushing on my nose.  I really don't like when she does that.  Riley likes to climb up in my crib and set me free from my swaddle me.  I like when she does that because I don't like having my arms tied down.

I can't believe three months have gone by but Daddy tells me that they will just keep going and pretty soon I will be saying that I can't believe I am one year old.

Meeting Some New Faces

I met a lot of new people this weekend.  Daddy drove all of us up to Lake Station this weekend.  That is where he is from.  I got to finally meet my Tia Adrienne and my Tio Brian.  They talked to me and played with me all weekend.  Tia Adrienne took a lot of pictures of me and she held me a lot.  I think that she had to make up for lost time and to get some in because I don't get to see her much, at least that is what Riley tells me.  Grandpa held me a lot, but then he would have to give me up because his arms would get tired because I would fall asleep and he would have to stay still for me.  I just saw Grandma last week but it always good to get cuddles from her.  Tio Brian seems like a pretty cool guy.  Riley and Luci really like to play with him so I am sure one day I will be tackling him too!  I also got to meet my Great Aunt Nadine, Great Uncle John, Tia Rina, my cousin Madden, and my Great Aunt Caroline.  They all came to Grandma's house to see me.

On Saturday everyone got up and we went for a walk on the trail.  I got to ride in the stroller and Riley and Luci rode their bikes.  We really had a lot of fun. Grandpa did not think we got enough exercise on the trail so he wanted us to go to the River Walk.  I don't know why they call it a river walk because it is a pier, beach, and trails all by Lake Michigan.  It seems to me like they would call it the Lake Walk, but what do I know I am only 11 weeks old.

My Daddy loves the Cubs.  Where we live it is hard to find Cubs clothing, so my Daddy took advantage of being up by the Cubs and he bought me my first Cubs shirts.  Well they weren't really shirts, they were onesies because that is what babies wear.  He also got me a zip up hoodie.  I am excited to support the Cubs, who knows maybe they will win the World Series in my lifetime, who am I kidding probably not!

Going to the Doctor

I went to see the doctor today for my two month check up.  When they weighed me I was 12 lbs 5 oz.  So I must be eating well because that was a nice weight gain.  However, I only grew 1/2".  They said I was 22".  My mom said that she doesn't believe that because I look so long.  Sometimes looks can be deceiving.  Riley and Luci get in my face sometimes and I think that they are going to smash their faces into me but they just end up kissing me.  I think that they really love me because they still can't get enough of me and they are always in my face kissing me.

Grandma is down this week.  Daddy had to go out of town for meetings, so Grandma came down to take care of Luci and I so that I would not have to go to the babysitter.  Daddy and Mommy don't want me to go be around a lot of germs if I don't have to.  Mommy also says that with Grandma down here life is easier for her in the mornings.  This is Mommy's last week of school with the kids and it is Riley's last week of school.  So after this week Mommy, Riley, Luci, and I will be together all of the time.  That will be fun just me and the girls.

Two Months

I am two months today!  I am getting so big.  Mommy tells me to slow down growing because she really has to savor the baby stages.  She tells everyone that I am her last baby.  I am already talking a lot to people.  I love to look at my Mommy and tell her all kinds of stories.  I am sleeping through the night, my Mommy loves me for this.  I love to sit and watch my mobile, those guys are my friends.   They sing to me and move all around for me to see.  I eat about every 3 to 4 hours, so that I can let Mommy have some time to get things done.  It is not too bad being a baby.  I am lovin' almost every minute of it!

Back to Work

Mommy went back to work today!  I am so sad that our time together is over! OK I am being a bit dramatic because she just had to go today but then she is off for the weekend.  Then she goes back again on Monday and will be gone from me the whole week.  I know it is only during the work time, but that is my time awake.  OK I know I am not awake all of that time but that is when I am awake most of the time.

We had been practicing taking a bottle and I did not like that thing.  If I want to eat I have my mommy, that is what she is for not some stupid bottle.  Daddy tried and tried to get me to take it, but if I am going to eat then Mommy is going to have to feed me.  I didn't know why she wanted to give me a bottle, but today I figured it out.  Mommy was not there so I had to get my milk from this bottle thing.

Gram and Poppy kept me today.  Luci went with me to keep me company.  They did a good job.  Poppy liked to hold me and Gram talked to me all day long.  Of couse Luci could not stay out of my face and she had to keep kissing me, but I love that girl so I will put up with it.  It was a pretty good day but I missed my Mommy!

My Big Sister Luciana

Luciana LOVES me!  She is a great BIG sister.  When I was first born she would tell everyone not to touch my head.  Luci made sure that everyone held me the right way.  I mean you can't get much better than that.  She likes to spend a lot of time with me.  Every morning she comes to check on me.  She is so funny because she gets upset if Mommy or Daddy change my diaper without her standing right there watching.  She likes to go get her step stool and have a front row seat for anything Mommy or Daddy do with me.
One of her favorite things to do is to pick out my bib and burp cloth everyday.  Sometimes she even puts my bib on me.

She likes to talk to me.  It is funny because she will repeat everything Mommy says to me.  She puts my paci back in when I am crying.  Luciana likes to have her hands all over me.  Whether I am in my swing or in my bouncer she comes up and hugs me or rubs my cheeks.   She likes to hold me too!  She will get the boppy and then tell Mommy where to put my head, on which side.

My favorite thing she does is her singing.   Luciana will make up a song about anything she is doing and sing it to me.  She is so very sweet to me.  We are going to be great friends when I am older.

Today she picked me up and held me standing up.  Mommy was really freaking out about that one.  Riley and Mommy were talking about how she could hold me standing up.  Mommy kept telling Riley that she knew that she can  hold me standing up, but that she was not allowed to.  Well Luciana decided that she was going to do it without any conversation about it.  I mean I just really get a kick out of that girl.

My First Bath

I know you are looking at the date on this post and thinking that my Mommy and Daddy have been neglecting me, but that is not true.  Okay this is really late for a first bath, but we are talking a real bath.  Don't go calling CPS on my parents because they really are taking care of me.  Here is how it goes.  Yeah my umbilical cord fell off weeks ago, but then it kept bleeding and Mommy wanted to wait until that stopped.  Then Daddy went back to work and Mommy didn't want to do the first bath without him.

With three kids nights are busy at the Yanez house especially when my sisters have to go to dance, swim, and gymnastics.  So Mommy kept waiting for a weekend so we could take our time and make it special with pictures and people doting over me.  This is the first time we could get it together to do it.  Now like I said don't go calling CPS because my Mommy did give me plenty of sponge baths on my changing table before this and quite frankly after the real bath those are quite fine by me.  Daddy says that I will start to love these baths, but I am not so sure about that.  I don't even like the massages that Mommy gives me after my bath, but she says to hold out judgement on that because she would love to have someone rubbing her with lotion and giving her a massage.

This was just my first bath and Riley tells me too just get used to it because she has totally lost track of the number of baths she has taken in her 5 1/2 years.  She has even started taking some showers.  Hmmm I wonder if that is something I can do!  Luci just told me no silly I have to learn to stand on my own first and use my hands for something other than a pacifier.  Those girls are so smart!  I hope I will be as smart as them one day.

Visiting the Doctor!

I went to see Dr. Howell today!  I got weighed and measured.  I was 21 1/2 inches and 10 lbs 10 oz.  I am a big growing boy.  Dr. Howell said I looked really good and that I am healthy. I got a shot today.  I really didn't like it.  Mommy says that I will get a lot more of those and that I will continue to hate it!  We will see how much I grow over the next month.

One Month

Well my first month went pretty well.  I have a great family full of people that really love me.  Everyone is always giving me kisses and squeezing me.  A lot of people have come to visit me.  Mommy's friends got together and threw me a shower to give me clothes and other boy things I needed.  I get held a lot and get my diaper changed and fed on a pretty regular basis.





Mommy always tells people what a good boy I am and how I am so easy going.  I like to sit in my swing and I am starting to discover the friends I have hanging above me, but I am not paying too much attention to them.  I have given Mommy and Daddy some smiles but just wait until they see the smiles I have in store for them.  Life is good at the Yanez house.  I can't wait to see what the next month brings!

Daddy Went Back to Work

My Daddy got to stay home with me for 4 weeks!  But he had to go back to work today.  I am going to miss him all day.  Riley told me that he will still be home every night.  I think Mommy is going to miss him more than me because she said he did a lot for us while he was home.  He is probably going to have to come home and cuddle me for while when he gets home because he will miss me so much.  I wonder what he does  while he is away?  What is work anyway?

My Big Sister Riley

My Big Sister Riley loves me so much.  She always wants to hold me!  She is always coming up to me and talking to me and making faces at me.  She puts my paci back in whenever I spit it out and start crying.  She is good to me because she will get me blankets and burp clothes.  Riley also likes to supervise some of my diaper changes and baths.  She doesn't really like to listen to Mommy and Daddy, but when they ask her to do something for me she will do it without throwing a fit.  When Riley gets home from school the first thing she wants to do is sit down on the couch and hold me.  She tells Mommy that she wants to hold me and have me sitting up.  I like it that way because I can look around, it really makes Daddy nervous.  Whenever someone comes over and is holding me she gets really jealous because she wants to be the one to hold me all the time.  I am sure I am going to have that girl wrapped around my finger.

My Umbilical Cord

Well I lost my umbilical cord today.  We were not sure when it was going to fall off.  It really looked like it was going to hang on there for a while. My big sisters were really wanting it to fall off so that I can take a real bath.  Mommy gave them some bad news though because it may be off but my belly button is still bleeding and I need to wait a little bit longer to have a bath.  Mommy really likes to give me sponge baths and put lotion on me.  Luciana really likes my lotion too.  She helps Mommy put lotion on me.  She puts the lotion on  her own hands too.  I think she really likes to smell like a baby too.  I am not really sure how I feel about the lotion, but Mommy keeps putting it on me so I guess I have to live with it.

One Week!

Well I made it one week!  I can't tell you how many different people have held me and given me kisses.  I guess I just have a lot of people that love me.  Mommy says that I am a really good baby.  She says that I know I am a third baby because I let her sleep at night.  I am already sleeping at night between feedings and I am going 4 to 4 1/2 hours between feedings at night.

Riley goes back to school tomorrow.  It will be sad not to have her around all the time.  Daddy is going to take her school and he said that she will be gone for a little bit, but then she will be home to play with me the rest of the day.

Visiting the Easter Bunny

I went with my sisters today to visit the Easter Bunny.  I know you can barly see me in the picture because I am wearing a white furry outfit too.  It was cold outside and Mommy put me in this because she knew we would be watching Riley and Luci hunt for Easter eggs.  I just had to sit there and watch as they did stuff, but at least I got to get a picture with the Easter Bunny.  I am the one wearing the baby hat.  Don't we all look so cute!

My Tanning Bed

Well my Bilirubin was too high so the doctor called these people to bring out this great bed.  I got to stay in it and sleep in it all day long.  It had these nice warm lights and made a nice buzzing sound that soothed me.  Luci said that my tanning bed looked different than hers.  She said that hers was more like a suitcase that she just laid in  I know that I would wake up with a sweaty back after being in there for a while.  Mommy thinks that that is where I got my training for being such a good sleeper.

Coming Home

I am so excited about going home today.  Technically I have been there before.  Mommy carried me around that place for almost 9 months.  However, today I will get to see it with my own eyes.  I will also get to see that dog that likes to bark.  I hope that he will tone it down for me while I am sleeping even if someone is at the door.







I am also excited about my first car ride.  I will get to be a big boy and sit in a seat all by myself, wait a minute that might be kind of scary.  I am sure Daddy would not put me in anything that is not safe.  He is very cautious about my safety.

Riley, Luci, and Grandma are at the house waiting for us.  They said that they had a special surprise for us.  I can't wait to see what they have in store.  I hate to say goodbye to all of the nice ladies that have taken care of me, but it will be nice to see where I am going to live.  Watch out Sterling Oaks here I come!

I'm Here!

Well Mommy gave me an eviction notice and so I decided I should get out!  My Mommy's water broke a little after 12 in the morning and then her contractions started to help me on my journey to this world.  Mommy and Daddy were packed and ready to go to the hospital so all they had to do was get ready and leave.  Grandma had been staying at the house so she was there for my BIG sisters.  Mommy's contractions were really close together before she even left the house, so Daddy had to drive fast to get to the hospital.  Daddy was on the lookout for the police because it was the Saturday night/ Sunday morning before St. Patrick's Day and a lot of people were out celebrating.  When they got there Daddy went in to get a wheelchair for Mommy and Aunt Sissy came to help Mommy in the hospital.  They took her up to the delivery floor really fast because I was coming.

Aunt Sissy helped get Mommy all set and ready to go.  They got me on the monitors about 1:30 a.m. and Mommy started pushing me out about 1:45 and I came after three pushes at 1:52 a.m.  I was 8 lbs 14 oz and 19 1/2 inches long.  Everybody said I was a really big boy. Oh yeah no one knew I was a boy!  Daddy told Mommy and then he told everybody else.  Mommy was really excited to have a boy!  Daddy said he didn't care if I was a boy or a girl, but I think he is really excited to do boy stuff with me when I am older.  Well that is the story of my arrival.  It was really fast because I couldn't wait to meet everyone!  My name is Julian Joseph Yanez!
